Reimagining Chinese Education Ecosystems: Connecting Schools, Families, and Communities through AI and Youth Leadership
Jamie Li & Sophie Xu

The rapid advancement of Artificial intelligence presents both opportunities and challenges for Chinese language education. While technology enables new forms of collaboration and learning, communication among schools, families, and community organizations often remains fragmented. This presentation proposes a Community Learning Platform Model designed to integrate educational institutions, family engagement, and community resources through both human collaboration and AI-supported tools.

Drawing on over a decade of experience in youth development and nonprofit leadership, this session explores how AI-enhanced community networks can strengthen Chinese education. Examples include youth-led cultural initiatives, mentor-matching systems, and digital dashboards that facilitate communication and data-informed decision-making among educators, parents, and students.

The model aims to enhance student motivation, cultural identity, and leadership through an ecosystem approach that connects learning across settings. Data and case examples illustrate how collaborative partnerships foster sustained engagement and cross-cultural competence.

This presentation advocates for building AI-enabled community ecosystems that enhance the integration, innovation, and global connectivity of Chinese education. Participants will gain practical frameworks and strategies for cultivating partnerships that ensure the long-term vitality of Chinese language learning in the digital era.
